Thank you to Mark Fisher for his year of service and welcome Dave Langer to the podium

At the Club's June 26th meeting, the President's gavel was handed from Mark Fisher to David Langer.  During the meeting, President Fisher reviewed the many successes from the past year and thanked everyone who contributed.  Some of the highlights

  • Our Club donated $6,400 to local organizations
  • We had another successful year mentoring STRIVE students and providing scholarships
  • We achieved 100% EREY participation from members (EREY = Every Rotarian Every Year contributing to the Rotary Foundation)

These accomplishments and many others lead to our Club being awarded the Presidential Citation from Rotary International. Please review the enclosed PDF summarizing our year under Mark's leadership.

In appreciation for Mark's year of service, Dave presented Mark with a custom fishing rod by local craftsman Steve Peck.

Now we welcome David Langer to the podium.  David takes over as the Club's 29th President.  Dave operates Langer Real Estate Services and is very active in the community with his wife Ann and their three children.  Dave is also a pilot and with the help of club member Bill Miller, we presented Dave with his official presidential flight jacket as he leads us into the new Rotary year. We are confident Dave will bring his leadership, his energy and his humor to help make 2012-2013 another successful year for the Stillwater Sunrise Rotarians.
