A new fishing pier was installed on the north side of Mckusick Lake, near the intersection of McKusick Road and Amundson Drive. The project was lead by the Mckusick Lake Association, working with the DNR’s Fishing in the Neighborhood Program with funding support from the Stillwater Sunrise and Noon Rotary Clubs.  Thank you to member Roger Ruetten for leading the effort from our Club.

“Our city staff, the McKusick Lake Association and the Rotary Club did a fantastic job” said City Council Member Mike Polehna.  “That fishing pier is beautiful. I want to pass on our thank you. It’s a beautiful addition to our community.”

On the morning of August 26, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to officially open the fishing pier.  President Steve Madsen even had a few minutes to wet a line.
