Visit by RI President John Kenny: February 19, 11:30am - 2:00pm

In 2010, the Rotary Club of Minneapolis and the Rotary Club of Saint Paul will celebrate their Centennial year. Founded in February of 1910, they became the ninth and tenth Rotary clubs in the world. Acknowledging a century of Rotary service in Minnesota, Governor Tim Pawlenty has declared February 15-19, 2010 as Rotary in Minnesota Week. To celebrate 100 years of Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of Minneapolis and the Rotary Club of Saint Paul are hosting a Centennial Celebration Luncheon. All Rotarians are invited to join us.

The Celebration will be at the McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota Minneapolis campus. Follow this link for registration information: http://www.mnrotarycentennial.com.  Please register now and pay online at http://www.mnrotarycentennial.com. Cost is $50 per person.  Reserved parking.  Parking for District 5960 attendees has been reserved in the University Avenue Ramp, with overflow in the Oakdale Ramp.  Parking spaces are limited.  If you wish to reserve parking, please register and pay for parking when you register for the event.  The cost for reserved parking is $10.  You will find directions to the ramps at the bottom of the Event Registration web page.  When you arrive at the parking ramp, be sure to tell the parking attendant you are attending the Rotary Centennial event at the McNamara Alumni Center.  I hope that you and other club members will be able to join us for this special event. It is a rare opportunity to hear in person the President of Rotary International.  And it is an even more rare opportunity to celebrate a Centennial – the 100th birthday of the Rotary Clubs of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, and a century of Rotary in Minnesota, serving communities here at home and the world.
