At our May 25th meeting, we celebrated the success of our Strive students.  Bryn Taney received a $1,500 scholarship for having the most improved GPA.  Jesse Graber, John Cassady and Meghan Huff each received a $250 scholarship for their perfect attendance.  We also thanked the mentors, Dave Langer, Ann Langer, Justin Bonestroo, Janis Donnelly and Liz Smith.  Pete Smith was our Strive Chair and we appreciate his efforts with this important and life-changing program.

Zach Williams, former Strive student from last year addressed the students and the club sharing his positive experience with the Strive program.  He commented on how the Strive mentorship helped him understand the transition from high school to college and how to manage your time.  "Finding a balance between work and play is important in college," Zach told the group.  He is currently attending Stout where he is studying graphic design.
