On Tuesday, May 3rd, Sunrise members visited the St. Croix Area Learning Center to see the progress of the canoe and meet the students and teacher who are building the boat. Our club sponsors a program by Urban Boatbuilders where they come into a school and teach students how to construct a canoe from scratch. When complete, the canoe will be part of the raffle at the upcoming Brewers Bazaar on Saturday, May 21st. This project is part of the STEM education at the ALC and the students are thriving with the experience. We are proud to support this project and the excellent work being accomplished at the school.
If you'd like a chance to win the canoe, contact a member of the Sunrise club to purchase a raffle ticket. You do not need to be present at the Brewers Bazaar to win.
