This project originated from our friendship with former Youth Exchange Student, Ariana Rodrigues (2004-05). The project was to help fund a much needed dental clinic in Brazil. The Sao Gotardo Rotary Club initiated the Rotary International grant and Stillwater Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Lakeville were happy to participate.
The total project cost was $20,046.80
- Stillwater Sunrise contributed $3,341.13
- Lakeville put in $500
- Sao Gotardo, Brazil put in $6,682.26
- The Rotary Foundation made up the difference on the project at $9,523.41
The clinic's grand opening was set for June 17, 2011.
