Past District Governor Craig Leiser

A Memorable District Conference

Craig and his event chairs, Rich Cummings and Gretchen Stein organized a wonderful District Conference held at the Prom Center in Oakdale on April 15th and 16th 2011.  The theme was "A River Runs To It" with presentations focusing on water, sustainability and our connection with the world we live in.  We heard inspirational presentations by Don Shelby, Elena Hendrick, RI Representative Elise Cadigan, The "River Rat" Kenny Salwey and our own Youth Exchange Student Laura Moeller.

Thank you to all Sunrise Club members who volunteered their time and helped make this event a success.

Two hundred Rotarians and guests attended the installation of Craig Leiser as Rotary International District 5960 Governor for 2010-2011.  Craig Leiser is past President of the Stillwater Sunrise Club and will devote his next year to the District’s 3100 members in 65 clubs and 4 Rotaract Clubs across south-central and southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Craig has been serving the district for the past 2 ½ years as District Governor Elect.  As governor, Leiser will emphasize the Rotary International Theme of Building Communities-Bridging Continents.  His personal goal is to have every club complete a water project and every member attend one meeting outside his or her own club.  Craig will visit each of the 65 clubs during his year as governor.
